Plant Manager

Ndalamo Resources (Pty) Ltd, through its subsidiary North Block Complex (Pty) Ltd (NBC), is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at its opencast coal mine in Belfast, Mpumalanga, South Africa. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional to contribute to one of South Africa’s key coal producers.

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant production, logistics, and stockpile management. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the processing plant while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and cost efficiency. Your role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.

• Lead and manage daily plant production, logistics, and stockpile operations

• Ensure adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) standards

• Drive process optimization, cost control, and operational excellence

• Oversee contractor management and stakeholder communication

• Implement continuous improvement programs for plant efficiency and reliability

• Manage quality control and assurance processes to meet production targets

• Provide strong leadership to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering

• 8–10 years’ experience in plant and logistics management within the coal mining sector

• Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams

• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and analytical skills

• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities

• Valid driver’s license and medical fitness certificate
