Mining Manager

Perseus Mining Limited is seeking a seasoned Mining Manager to oversee its open-pit operations at the Yaouré Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire. This is a unique opportunity to join one of West Africa’s leading gold producers and drive operational excellence at a flagship mining project.

As the Mining Manager, you’ll lead safe, efficient, and cost-effective open-pit mining operations while fostering a culture of performance, safety, and accountability. You’ll manage contractors, mentor teams, and ensure that production and cost targets are consistently achieved. This role also involves close engagement with community stakeholders and alignment with environmental and operational standards.

• Lead and oversee all open-pit mining activities at Yaouré Gold Mine

• Manage contractor performance and workforce efficiency

• Drive continuous improvement in safety, cost, and productivity

• Implement and monitor OH&S and environmental compliance

• Develop and mentor operational teams for professional growth

• Collaborate with senior management to meet production forecasts and budgets

• Strengthen community and stakeholder relationships through responsible operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline

• Minimum 15 years of experience in open-pit gold or base metal mining

• At least 10 years in senior or managerial roles

• Strong leadership and contractor management expertise

• Proven understanding of OH&S, environmental, and gold mining geological standards

• Prior experience working in Africa is highly desirable

• French language proficiency is an advantage
