Sanu Gold Confirms District Scale Gold System at Daina
Sanu Gold confirms a district scale gold system at Daina in Guinea, with extensive drilling highlighting strong continuity and expansion potential.
Sanu Gold has confirmed the presence of a district scale gold system at its Daina property in Guinea’s prolific Siguiri Basin, following an extensive drilling campaign completed during the 2025 financial year. The latest results demonstrate a broad and continuous mineralised corridor extending over several kilometres, strengthening confidence that Daina hosts a large scale gold system with substantial room for expansion both along strike and at depth.
During FY 2025, Sanu Gold completed 12,896 metres of drilling at Daina, defining significant gold mineralisation across multiple targets. All major mineralised zones remain open, indicating that drilling to date has not yet constrained the size of the system. At the Daina 2 target, mineralisation has now been extended over more than 4 kilometres of geophysical trend, highlighting strong continuity within the structural corridor. Key intercepts include 16 metres at 1.81 grams per tonne gold from 44 metres, alongside a high grade interval of 2 metres at 12.24 grams per tonne gold.
Further evidence of system scale comes from drilling at Salat East, where deeper extensions of mineralised structures have been confirmed. A notable intercept of 20 metres at 0.66 grams per tonne gold from 175 metres demonstrates that gold mineralisation persists well below surface, supporting the potential for both open pit and deeper mining scenarios. These results reinforce the view that Daina hosts a vertically extensive gold system.
At Daina 1 South, multiple broad gold intercepts were returned, while drilling at Bantabaye confirmed strong structural controls and the presence of artisanal gold workings, often considered an indicator of near surface mineralisation in West African gold belts. Meanwhile, Diguifara drilling outlined wide mineralised zones associated with fault controlled targets, further expanding the footprint of the Daina mineralised corridor.
Across its wider portfolio, Sanu Gold completed a total of 17,802 metres of drilling during FY 2025 and remains well funded with approximately 22 million Canadian dollars in cash. This financial position supports continued exploration through FY 2026, with the company planning to expand drilling at Daina in early 2026. From a broader perspective, confirmation of a district scale gold system at Daina could enhance Guinea’s standing within the West African gold sector, attracting further investment and supporting future development opportunities. As Sanu Gold continues to define scale and continuity, the project may evolve into a meaningful contributor to regional gold production and economic growth over the longer term.
Mini-Glossary
- District scale: Refers to a mineral system large enough to host multiple deposits across a wide area.
- Mineralised corridor: A zone where mineralisation extends continuously over a significant distance.
- g/t (grams per tonne): A unit measuring the concentration of gold in rock.
- Geophysical trend: A subsurface feature identified through geophysical surveys that may indicate mineralisation.
- Artisanal mining: Small scale, informal mining often carried out by local miners, sometimes pointing to near surface gold.
