Robex Nears First Gold at Kiniéro Project in Guinea

Robex delivers first ore to its Kiniéro plant in Guinea, advancing commissioning and targeting first gold this month ahead of commercial production in 2026.

Robex Resources has reached a major operational milestone at its Kiniéro Gold Project in Guinea after successfully delivering first ore to the processing plant. This achievement marks a critical step in the transition from construction to production and confirms that the project is moving steadily toward its first gold pour. With commissioning activities progressing smoothly, Robex remains on schedule to deliver first gold later this month.

Commissioning of the plant’s mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems is now well advanced, with performance reported to be in line with expectations. The delivery of first ore allows the company to begin testing the full processing circuit under operating conditions, an important phase in identifying and resolving any issues ahead of sustained production. Each completed commissioning milestone further reduces technical and operational risk at the project.

Robex is targeting its first gold pour in December 2025, with a planned ramp up to commercial production in the first quarter of 2026. Kiniéro is positioned as the company’s flagship development and forms the foundation of Robex’s ambition to establish itself as a new mid tier gold producer in West Africa. The project has been designed to support long term production, leveraging Guinea’s established gold mining credentials and favourable geology.

The steady progress at Kiniéro reflects disciplined project execution and effective management of development risks. As the project advances through commissioning and into production, Robex is expected to strengthen its operational profile and cash flow generation. This, in turn, could support future growth initiatives and enhance the company’s standing among emerging African gold producers.

From a broader perspective, the advancement of Kiniéro toward first gold carries positive implications for Guinea’s mining sector. New production supports employment, infrastructure development, and export revenues, reinforcing the country’s role as an important gold producer in West Africa. For Robex, the imminent transition to producer status represents a defining moment, positioning the company for sustained growth as it moves into its next phase of development.
