Aurum Resources Strikes High-Grade Gold at Boundiali

Aurum Resources reports high-grade gold hits at the Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, supporting resource growth and a 2026 pre-feasibility study.

Aurum Resources has reported strong high-grade gold results from its large-scale infill drilling programme at the Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, reinforcing confidence in the BMT3 deposit and highlighting substantial upside potential. The Boundiali project currently hosts a mineral resource of 2.41 million ounces, and the latest results confirm the presence of high-grade zones both within and outside the existing resource model.

Recent drilling at the BMT3 deposit delivered standout intercepts including 10.15 metres at 6.05 grams per tonne gold and a particularly strong high-grade interval of 2.20 metres at 23.65 grams per tonne gold. Importantly, several shallow high-grade intersections were recorded outside the current mineral resource boundaries, suggesting that mineralisation is more extensive than previously defined. These results support the interpretation that gold mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth, providing clear scope for continued resource expansion.

Aurum’s infill drilling programme at Boundiali is designed to systematically upgrade resource confidence while also identifying new high-grade zones. The current programme targets approximately 100,000 metres of drilling and is planned to expand to around 130,000 metres during CY2025. To support this accelerated pace, Aurum has expanded its drilling fleet to 12 owned diamond drill rigs, giving the company greater control over costs, schedules, and data quality as exploration advances across multiple deposits.

The ongoing drilling success is expected to underpin major mineral resource estimate updates planned for the first quarter of CY2026. These updates will feed directly into the planned Pre-Feasibility Study for Boundiali, also scheduled for Q1 CY2026. The combination of high-grade results, expanding mineralisation, and improved resource definition is expected to strengthen the technical and economic foundations of the project as it moves toward more advanced development studies.

From a financial perspective, Aurum remains well positioned to fund its growth strategy, with a strong cash balance of approximately US$43 million. This financial strength provides flexibility to continue aggressive drilling at Boundiali while also advancing work at other assets, including the nearby Napié project. The company’s ability to self-fund exploration reduces reliance on near-term capital markets and supports disciplined long-term planning.

Looking ahead, continued drilling success at Boundiali has the potential to enhance Côte d’Ivoire’s growing reputation as a premier gold jurisdiction in West Africa. As Aurum advances toward pre-feasibility and delivers updated resources, the project could contribute to future investment, employment, and export revenue for the country. In a broader African mining context, Boundiali illustrates how sustained exploration and strong balance sheets can translate into long-term value creation within the region’s gold sector.

Mini-Glossary

  • Infill drilling: Drilling conducted between existing holes to improve confidence in the size and grade of a mineral resource.
  • Grams per tonne (g/t): A measure of gold concentration in rock, indicating ore grade.
  • Along strike: The horizontal direction of a mineralised zone following its geological trend.
  • Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS): A detailed technical and economic assessment used to evaluate a mining project before final feasibility.
  • Mineral resource estimate: A calculation of the quantity and quality of mineralisation based on geological data.
