Aurum Delivers Exceptional 70.78 g/t Gold Intercept at Côte d’Ivoire’s Boundiali Project
Aurum hits 70.78 g/t gold at Boundiali, boosting resource growth potential ahead of major updates and an aggressive drilling campaign into 2026.
Aurum Resources has delivered an exceptional drilling result at its Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, reinforcing the project’s potential to grow well beyond its already substantial resource base. The company announced an outstanding intercept of 3.10 metres grading 70.78 grams per tonne gold from a depth of 112.90 metres, a result that lies outside the current 2.41 million ounce resource. This discovery supports Aurum’s strategy to significantly expand the project as it advances toward major mineral resource updates scheduled for early Q1 2026.
The standout interval is complemented by a suite of additional high grade results that further underline the robustness of the mineralised system. Notable intercepts include 5.10 metres at 43.13 grams per tonne gold, 5.20 metres at 4.46 grams per tonne gold, and 12.35 metres at 1.80 grams per tonne gold. These results confirm that mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth, offering strong prospects for continued discovery as drilling progresses. To accelerate this work, Aurum has expanded its drilling capacity to 12 diamond rigs, with an ambitious plan to complete approximately 130,000 metres of drilling across both Boundiali and Napié during 2025.
The company is simultaneously progressing its Boundiali Pre Feasibility Study, with results expected in Q1 2026, aligning with the timeline for the forthcoming resource upgrades. This coordinated approach ensures that new geological data, high grade discoveries, and refined development parameters will feed directly into project planning and economic modelling. Aurum also enters this growth phase with a solid financial position, holding around 45 million dollars in cash and listed shares. Managing Director Dr. Caigen Wang has emphasized the level of operational momentum, noting increased activity on site, numerous assays pending, and a deliberately aggressive drilling strategy designed to maximize value creation.
If Aurum continues to unlock high grade extensions and integrates these results into its resource and feasibility work, the Boundiali and Napié projects could deliver a substantial uplift for Côte d’Ivoire’s gold industry. Expanded resources and improved project economics may attract heightened investor interest, stimulate development spending, and strengthen West Africa’s position as a leading global gold growth corridor.
Mini Glossary
- Grade (g/t): A measure of how much gold is contained in each tonne of ore.
- Open along strike: Indicates that the mineralised zone continues horizontally beyond the area currently drilled.
- Pre Feasibility Study: An early stage economic and technical evaluation that assesses whether a mining project should advance to full feasibility.
- Diamond rigs: Drilling machines that use diamond tipped bits to retrieve precise core samples from underground.
